These colors are typically associated with the gender presentation of young children in American culture. They become signifiers of gender. In the section Pink and Blue I researched some of the historical changes in children’s clothing and the gendering choices that have been made.
Since we are often not given much of a choice as a young child to choose which color we would associate with our own gender identity, I would like to ask you these questions.
